My simple take on the current EPA policy
It's not taking a political position at all - left, right, Democratic, or Republican - to assert that taxpayers should have open, direct, and transparent access to all research funded BY taxpayers that is not a critical military secret.

And yet, if our public servents hide data that will hurt their interests (like...I don't know...maybe long term weather trends), they are making it a political position. Hiding science we all fund is not ethical. Whether it is labeled political is not really so important. Ice IS melting, species ARE dying. Manmade or not is academic...it needs to be dealt with, not handled by making the phrase "climate change" taboo.
