The bird world has a newcomer -
Stiphrornis pyrrholaemus, the olive-backed forest thrush. The colorful little bird has (as one would assume) an olive back, a white underbelly, a yellow breast, and an orange throat. It was discovered in southeastern Gabon. Brian Schmidt, the species' discoverer, noted that the bird "is definitely a reminder that the world still holds surprises for us."
