A slightly built, long-beaked little bird not seen since 1867 has been rediscovered in Thailand.
Birdlife International announced that the large-billed reed-warbler was rediscovered at a
wastewater treatment plant in Thailand. The species
Acrocephalus orinus had previously been known only from a single specimen found in India. It has short wings and was not thought to migrate.
